The objectives of the Society are:
To provide an organization to coordinate and operate football programs for youth aged 7 to 15 and to provide teams to play in the Calgary Atom Football Association, in the Calgary Pee Wee Football Association and in the Calgary Bantam Football Association.
The Society’s Mandate is to ensure the long-term stability, viability and success of the football programs and orderly succession of Coaches, Members, Officers and Directors for the football programs.
Program Information:
The Lions program currently has 1 Atom team in the Calgary and Area Atom Association, 1 Peewee team in the Calgary and Area Peewee Association, a Bantam team in the Calgary Bantam Football Association and a Midget team in the Calgary and Area Midget Association.
These programs provide approximately 120 players from the Cochrane area an opportunity to play organized full contact football.
The Cochrane Lions Football programs draw players from Cochrane and Surrounding Area. If you live outside of Cochrane but in the surrounding area, you are eligible to play football for us.
The Lions program stresses football fundamentals, good attitude and a team mentality. Many of our coaches have played high school and university football and bring a wealth of experience to the field.
Players from our past teams have pursued football and gone on to play at the high school, junior, university and CFL levels.
